About Our Firm


Echevarria-Caban Immigration Law Firm, LLC was founded by Attorney Abdiel Echevarria-Caban in 2024 who currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer. He focuses on removal defense before Immigration Courts and the BIA.


Our Firm business model is structured as a virtual boutique law firm with a client-centered approach. We provide our services at coworking spaces in the state of Texas.






We believe in a remote and virtual model of providing legal services in order to make the legal fees more affordable for immigrant families. As such we meet with clients at coworking spaces in Laredo, Houston, San Antonio, Mission and Dallas Texas.

Abdiel Echevarria-Caban, J.D., LL.M. & CEO

Abdiel Echevarria-Caban is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer at Echevarria-Caban Immigration Law Firm, LLC, founded in 2024. He focuses on removal defense before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Abdiel received his J.D. from The University of Puerto Rico School of Law  in 2013, a Master in Public Administration Summa Cum Laude from the University of Puerto in 2018 and a Master of Law in Human Rights and Social justice Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut School of law in 2019. He previously worked at the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) and the American Bar Association. Abdiel received the 2021 Pro Bono Roll Award from the American Bar Association and he has been listed as one of the 40 Best LGBT + Lawyers under 40 by the National LGBT Bar for outstanding contributions made as a young lawyer in the field of immigration and LGBT+ advocacy.


Echevarria has successfully coordinated programs, represented, and disenrolled refugees subject to draconian immigration policies at the southwest border such as: the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), Guatemalan Asylum Coordination Agreement (GACA) and the Asylum Transit Ban. He has traveled with humanitarian and cultural missions to Latin American and Caribbean countries in which he has witnessed the violence many refugees suffered. Some of these countries include Cuba, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
